The address of 708 Sprint Street in Atlanta, GA should ring a bell to almost every gay ATLien as well as to those who frequent the city. That address use to belong to one of the longest running gay night clubs in Atlanta known as Club 708 and Lorrettas previously before that. The owner of the nightclub closed it’s doors for good last summer and sold the venue to Traxx. Traxx has formed a firm called Traxx Clubs International, LLC, which will own and operate the newest staple in Atlanta community, XS Ultra Lounge, and is promising to revive & redefine Atlanta’s gay nightlife once again.
Traxx has been working the past six months totally renovating the inside of the building from the floor to the walls to the ceiling transforming the venue from what use to be a teeny bopper go to nightspot into an ultra sexy lounge and nightclub for the 21 & up crowd. Tonight, XS Ultra Lounge opens it doors to Atlanta and visitors for a Sneak Peak of the new nightclub.
We got a chance to personally see the venue this past week for a private V.I.P. reception and we must say, the promises were delivered and Atlanta is in for an amazing new nightclub and nightlife!
XS Ultra Lounge is an ultra chic bistro, cocktail lounge and dance club. The venue features all new renovations, plush VIP sections, a delectable menu, signature cocktails, an intimate dance floor, as well as another massive dance space. The posh new establishment located in the heart of midtown has a state of the art light and sound system, adorned with big screens and plasma televisions, enveloped in an environment fit for Atlanta’s elite.
Not only will XS Ultralounge be a night club but it will be an after work lounge and bistro from 5 PM – 10 PM, Tuesday thru Sunday. One of the best parts of the location of XS is that it’s in the heart of Atlanta, GA (midtown), walking distance from MARTA for locals and across the street from the Melia hotel, which will be the host hotel of Traxx Atlanta/Traxx Girls Pure Heat Atlanta Black Pride weekend this year.
Traxx will continue to run it’s other location in Decatur, GA as well for the 18 & up crowd which will continue to be open until 5am and will serve as the after hours party for those leaving XS Ultra lounge on Saturday night which is open 10pm-3am.
You can get your sneak peek of XS Ultra Lounge tonight and if you are 25 & up admission is free all night long! For more information follow XSUltraLounge on Twitter & Facebook.

After last week’s rumors around Ciara’s alledged reluctancy to perform for the kids Atlanta Black Pride weekend, the official T is in and Ciara wants the kids to know that she’s IN for the kids and will be performing Atlanta Black Pride Weekend.
The Grammy award winner will be performing back to back events on Sunday, September 5th in Atlanta, one show for the boys at Club Europe for The Lions Den Atlanta annual “Main Event”, a signature event that has become a staple during Atlanta Black Pride for the past eight years, and one show for the ladies at Mansion Elan aka Atlanta Live for Traxx Girls.
Last week it was rumored that Ciara had backed out of Atlanta Black Pride due to the reluctancy in performing for the lesbians citing her picture next to Amber Rose on Traxx/Traxx Girls pride website and while no official word had came why Ciara picture was taken off of the website, an email from The Lions Den promotional group cleared up things yesterday,
There have been some questions and rumors regarding Ciara’s attendance at Atlanta Black Gay Pride. Well just to clear up the rumors, Ciara is confirmed to be the Special Guest Artist For The Lion’s Den on Sunday, September 5, 2010, for the Return of Club Europe. She will also be the Special Guest Artist for Traxx Girls on Sunday, September 5, 2010, at the Mansion aka Atlanta Live.
This is Ciara’s first appearance at a Black Gay Pride Celebration and she is extremely excited about being a part of Atlanta’s Black Gay Pride as Atlanta, GA is her home town. We are certainly excited to have the opportunity to work with her and make this first experience a very special one for both her and the LGBT Community. So don’t get it twisted, CiCi lives for the kids.
So there you have it. The kids can “Ride the Beat” with Ciara come Atlanta Black Pride weekend. For more information on Traxx and Traxx Girls All-Star Event and Celebrity line-up log on to www.atlantaprideweekend.com. For more information on The Lions Den Atlanta events & celebrity line-up log on to www.southernxplosionatlanta.com.
Well no less than two days after we exclusively reported that Ciara would be part of the All-Star entertainment line-up for Traxx’s “Pure Heat” Atlanta Black Pride Weekend which is September 2-6, word comes that Ms. Cici may be having a case of COLD FEET.
As of today Ciara’s picture which was on the official Pure Heat website, www.atlantablackweekend.com , just yesterday was snatched down. We had a few of our sources make a call to Ciara’s camp and heard from our own ears that Ciara would be there although it was an abrupt and one word answer. One source says Ciara may be a little more concerned about the lesbian affiliation moreso than the gay males and was in awe after seeing her face next to Amber Rose on the website. Ciara would have been the Sunday night special guest for the Pride weekend. Amber has been scheduled only for Saturday day events. (Dear Ciara, At this moment and whatever the case, Lesbians could only HELP your music career! That Is All!).
Nicki Minaj is still scheduled to perform Saturday night (September 4th) at Traxx Atlanta and Amber Rose is still slated to be a part of day time WEThim and WETher daytime events scheduled for Pure Heat.
I didn’n know female artists could have cold feet about a Gay pride. Whats The T Cici? Stay Tuned as I’m sure more will come from this fiasco…
It’s going to be a triple Diva threat this Atlanta Black Pride weekend as Traxx Atlanta and Traxx Girls are bringing some of the most baddest chick in the entertainment industry to perform during Atlanta Black Pride weekend (September 2-7). The Traxx promotional group has been in the promoting business for now over 20 years and each year continues to raise the bar and bring quality entertainment to both local Pride attendees and those who come to Atlanta from around the world.
Last year, Lil Kim performed during Atlanta Black Pride weekend at Traxx and ironically this year, Nicki Minaj will take the throne. This is Nicki’s first Pride event and first performance since the BET Awards. Nicki has been working the media and in the studio gearing up for what some believe could be the biggest debut of 2010 next to Eminem’s “Relapse” album debut. Nicki will perform Saturday night (September 4th) at Traxx nightclub for the boys in decatur and the Freight Depot for the girls.
Supermodel, Vixen, and yes Kanye’s ex, Amber Rose is no stranger to the kids. Last year she partied hard at Atlanta Live for Atlanta Pride. This year Amber will be hosting Traxx Boys WET-Him party at E.R. Lounge on Saturday, September 4th from 2pm-8pm co-sponsored by Tempted 2 Touch.
Last but certainly not least, Atlanta’s own Ciara will be rocking with the kids for the first time ever during Atlanta Black Pride weekend. With her highly successful club banger “Ride” and her much anticipated album “Basic Instinct” nearing, Ciara is expected to give the kids a show they will never forget. Ciara will perform Sunday, September 5th.
These are a few of the artist that have been announced for Traxx Atlanta and Traxx Girls Pure Heat weekend. More special announcements and surprises will come during the next two weeks. Traxx has sold out three hotels includng the brand new four diamond Loews Midtown which is the Host Hotel for Atlanta Black Pride, the Georgia Tech Hotel, the Holiday Inn, and has now added the five star Kimpton hotel, Palomar, for guest to book their rooms.
