The Billboard numbers are out and Sade’s “Soldier of Love” sits atop selling 501,000 units her first week. This marks Sade’s second #1 debut album on the Billboard. Not only did “Soldier of Love” debut #1 in the U.S. but also in Canada, France, and Switzerland!

It looks like Sade’s heavy TV campaigning last week actually paid off ! This is a good start for the record industry. Lets hope other artist can follow in Sade’s footsteps. I predict Ludacris will probably be the next big album to breakthrough on the Billboard when his album drops March 9th!

The British Nigerian singer-songwriter Sade released her sixth studio album “Soldier of Love” yesterday. Along with the release of her new project, Sade took to the television networks full speed with 3 television performances (Good Morning America, 106 & Park, & The Davide Letterman. Show).

With her performances, this was Sades first time ever performing on BET 106 & Park. Check out her performances on the various networks below. She has a mean semi squat when she performs! I would say her best performance was on David Letterman.

R&B crooner Sade has premiered a video for her song “Solider of Love” and I like it! In true Sade fashion, she delivers a unique video that matches the tone and essence for this song. The ‘solider theme’ is persistent throughout and the video is semi dark and mysterious. Take a look below.
