Rihanna stopped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show today to perform her song “Rude Boy”. She sure does know how to whine and grind them hips! Rihanna looks more comfortable performing this song than any other song I’ve seen her perform recently. I guess that island feel to the song and video gave her an extra boost! I loved it! Rihanna | “Sexuality”

Well I heard this song the other day and I paid it no mine, but something told me to post it.  It’s a cute song, but definitely a “album filler” type of song. I thought that Rihanna’s album, ‘Rated R’, was going to sound something like this prior to her change of plans. This song sounds like something we’ve all heard before. Here is the video for David Guetta’s song “Memories (Remix)” featuring Kid Cudi. The video was shot in the streets of Miami then it transitioned into a Miami club. Its a nice video, but nothing to shake a stick at. Take a look after the jump.

Jennifer Lopez | “Everybody’s Girl”

Pop diva Jennifer Lopez premiered her new international single called “Everybody’s Girl” from her album “Love?”. This song is written by Wynter Gordon and produced by Mike Caren. This very euro-pop dance track begs for the body to move! The beat controls you and you just can’t help but dance! The lyrics are cool and sound sooooo like a Wynter Gordon song; secretly I wish she recorded it for herself!

I mean lets face it, Jennifer Lopez isn’t looking to do well with this song or any song; its all about image. I do NOT think she can sell like she once did back in her day. In the era of your Lady Gagas, Britney Spears, and Ke$has, its going to be HARD for anyone to step onto or back on the scene and sell! But nonetheless, this song is hot and I wish her well! As if Miss Rihanna hasn’t been busy enough, she is now reported to be added to the Grammy Awards show lineup along with a host of other Grammy regulars!  Rihanna Daily reported this information on her performance:

Rihanna Daily can exclusively report that Rihanna is going to attend and perform at this year’s Grammy Awards – on January 31. We still don’t know which song she’s going to perform, hopefully Hard and Rude Boy! And that’s not all, RiRi is also going to attend the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party, on January 30.

She is a busy woman! She is doing the London concert for the “Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief” on the 22nd and now she is signed up to sing both at the Grammy Awards show  and the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party as well!

UK singer Craig David just premiered the video for his song, “One More Lie (Standing In The Shadows)” from his upcoming album “Signed Sealed Delivered”. I love this song and video! Its a hot dance/club track. The video is set in some club in Miami where David is enjoying the scenery and partying it up with fellow club goers. Take a look below.

He had this to say via blog about his whereabouts and what’s going on with this new album of his:

…I’m really excited actually because it’s all starting to come together. We’re getting the album mastered next week, which means making sure all the levels of the songs work together, and putting the songs in the order they’re going to be on the record. Then, literally in a week and a half’s time, we’ll have a finished album! As I think you all know, the album is Motown-inspired. We wanted to do a record that allowed me to record and perform songs that I’ve always wanted to sing, but really didn’t have the opportunity to before as I was constantly writing new material. It’s given me the chance to be able to do more classic songs that I love from this amazing era. People don’t always realise that Motown was about songs that came purely off the Motown Records label, it wasn’t a genre or a style. They had so many amazing artists, from Marvin Gaye to Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and The Temptations…to be able to sing those songs as well as having new songs on the album that I’ve written too feels really good.

Craig David | “One More Lie (Standing In The Shadows)”

The uber hot UK R&B sensation Craig David‘s new single “One More Lie (Standing In The Shadows)” has surfaced. This hot track is believed to be the lead single from his new album “Signed Sealed Delivered” in UK stores on March 22, 2010! The song has an old feel to it with a modern twist. Most of David’s CD will consist of old classic remakes with a jazzed up beat and some tuning. I can’t wait to hear it in its entirety! Tell me your thoughts!

The Barbados beauty, Shontelle, premiered her video for directed by “Licky (Under The Covers)”Ray Kay. If I’m not mistaken, I believe the shades she’s rocking in this video are that of SBShades but I would have to investigate further. Take a look and tell me if you see any similarities in her video compared to another female pop star, hehehehe!

Shontelle | “Impossible”

For those of you that may not know Shontelle, here’s hoping that this song will garner your attention to make you look further into her and her music. The R&B singer hailing from Barbados has a new song called “Impossible” produced by Stargate songwriter/producer Arnthor Birgisson and is said to be the lead single from her up coming project .

The song is really nice; I immediately got swept away into the song. The song starts off nice and slow with a piano part then picks up with synthesizers and snares then switches back to that same piano part during the hook and chorus. Most people are comparing her to Rihanna and I can see the comparison but I think this girl can hold her own vocally.  I just think the producers she’s using aren’t giving her the “non-Rihanna” sounding tracks. SMH Who knows, I know I love the song. Check her out and tell me your thoughts.
