This version may or may not appear on the album which features a sickening verse from Drake that is called “Paris Morton Music”. I had to share this with y’all because I have been singing it all day. I’m thinking Officer Ricky is gonna have the hottest album of the summer!

Underdog day: Remember Remember the 18^th of May!

May 18^th, 2010 marks the day of the Underdog in the music world.

First we have Kelly Rowland who has amazing potential and has released 2 albums that found mediocre success compared to her Group Destiny’s Child. Kelly Rowland will release her first single “Commander” produced by David Guetta, which has the Internet buzzing.

Up next is Kelis, the eclectic, former Star Trek First lady that showed much promise at the close of the 90’s with the single “Caught Out There”. Kelis 2^nd album  “Wanderland” was shelved in the U.S., but her 3^rd album created the monster single “Milkshake” which peaked on the billboard Hot 100. After the smash, came the decline where her fourth album “Kelis Was Here” failed to gain the same momentum as her predecessor. After the disappointment of support of her record label. It was reported that Kelis was going to give up music and become a chef. May 17^th marks the worldwide release date day for her 5^th album Fleshtone that includes the #1 Dance Single “Acapella”. Unfortunately, Fleshtone will not be available in the U.S till July 6th.

Finally, Kansas born Janelle Monáe, a new artist discovered by Outkast’s Big Boi. Janelle was signed to Big Boi’s Purple Ribbon Label and was featured on The Idlewild Soundtrack. During this era, Janelle’s material never saw the light of mainstream media. In 2007, Janelle took the leap into the underground indie circuit to produce the first EP of 4 Metropolis Suite I of IV: The Chase. It was reported that she was able to sell 10,000 copies of the EP on her own. After numerous tours, collaborations, and finding a home at Bad Boy, Janelle Monáe is set to release her first full-length LP The ArchAndroid: (Suites II and III of IV) on May 18^th .

Following her split from the Pussycat Dolls, Carmit Bachar has been in the studio recording music for her solo album due out sometime this year. The first single is called “Cream”, which sounds like a Pussycat Dolls infused track mixed with some bubble gum pop old Britney Spears song. It’s not a bad track at all but is it first single material? My answer is no. It’s catchy but typical. Let’s hope she comes harder than this. Take a listen and give your thoughts!

OMG OMG OMG! R&B’s greatest creation known as Brandy Norwood has leaked some material, old or new, that is BEYOND great! The song is called “Who’s The Loser Now?”. I have been thirsty for some new Brandy material and she gave me EVERYTHING I needed with this one! I can’t speak for everyone here at WhatsTheT.com but I, Jake Jacobs VI, am LOVING this track! I can stop listening to it!

Brandy is giving so much attitude and anger with this song; my favorite line is,  “Who’s the loser now? You look stupid now… In the lost and found, who got you now!!???” I can’t with her right now! She just may have ended my life tonight and then brought me back to life! Seriously PLEASE GET INNNNN on this one!

We, at WhatsTheT.com, love this track entitled “Shut It Down” featuring The Dream; we can’t wait until this album drops! ‘Thank Me Later’ will be one of Hip Hop’s/R&B’s most anticipated albums this year. Drake is on everyone’s track, everyone’s hot list, and everyone’s mind!

Although “Shut It Down” sounds like a The Dream production, its soooo not! Actually it’s produced by a Harlem based producer by the name of Omen. Get into it! Tell us your thoughts!

Former Destiny’s Chile, I mean “Child”, member Kelly Rowland’s song “Smooches” leaked today!!!! This is a hot ass track and it goes innnnnn!!!! It’s something you can ride out to and, maybe even a club BANGER!!!!! The track was produced by Bangladesh and believed to be just a buzz single, but we think otherwise.  We hope her album goes in this direction along with some euro-pop tracks; talk about a wonderful album!!
