New Music: Brandy | “I Can’t Wait”

brandy

In light of recent events with the STUPIDITY OF “AMERICA” VOTING OFF Brandy from DWTS, I decided to post a semi new song of hers that many of you may not have heard. It’s called “I Can’t Wait” also known as “This Song”. At any rate, I love it, I hope it’s apart of her new album. I felt the need to post something positive about Brandy as I know how much that DWTS contest meant to her and her fans (me included). But the most tragic thing about it all is that Brandy was one of the HIGHEST SCORING contestants on there, so “America” really doesn’t want to see her win? Or was that a judgement call from the producers and judges themselves? I can’t believe she wouldn’t even make the finals. That don’t sound right! Oh shoot this post was suppose to be about the song. New Music: Kim Zolciak | “Google Me”

Kim-Zolciak-Google-Me-Song

What I thought was a regular, yet beautiful, sunny Sunday turned out to be even more fantastic than I thought as I came across the full version of “Google Me” by none other than Kim Zolciak! LOL I couldn’t even say that with a straight face! But seriously, Kim Zolciak is said to be in the studio with pretty well known producers gearing up for the release of her debut album. I didn’t know she was really gun hoe on trying to put an album out with her inability to sing well. As we all know, stranger things have happened to stranger folks. With that said, here is the full version of her song “Google Me”, and I am sure you all will get a good keke and woooo haaaa out of it.

New Music: Rihanna | “Who’s That Chick?”

rihanna

The previously leaked song, “Who’s That Chick”by Rihanna has what sounds like an alternate version and/or mastered version that just leaked.  The David Guetta produced track is from her fifth studio album “Loud”, that’s set to hit stores November 16th. This very catchy, fun, dance track is filled with streams of synthesizers and hard hitting basslines! As soon as you hear the song it commands you to move, dance, tap, sing, nod, or whatever you do, just GET INTO IT!

Faith Evans | “Can’t Stay Away Feat. Keyshia Cole”

R&B Diva Faith Evans‘ song “Can’t Stay Away” feat. Keyshia Cole surfaced today. Sadly, the buzz around this song is so flat and dry that it makes us fear for what her album sales will do. Her album “Something About Faith” is set to be released next Tuesday. In spite of all that, we believe this is not the mastered version of the song as Keyshia sounds so muted, off key, and just not right on this track that we CANNOT take this serious! Take a listen. Thoughts?

With a little piece of heaven in the form of a song, we are blessed with this new single titled ‘Gone Already’ and it’s straight FIRE!  Carvin Haggins and Ivan Barias produced the track and Corey “Latif” Williams co-wrote the track. If you aren’t familiar with who they are, they are responsible for producing on every Musiq Soulchild album, Raheem DeVaughn’s “Customer” and a host of Jill Scott songs. Take a listen!

Another hot track has leaked from The Teflon Don Due on this Tuesday July 20th. This version may or may not appear on the album which features a sickening verse from Drake that is called “Paris Morton Music”. I had to share this with y’all because I have been singing it all day. I’m thinking Officer Ricky is gonna have the hottest album of the summer!

Screen shot 2010-05-17 at 3.45.55 PM

Underdog day: Remember Remember the 18th of May!

May 18th, 2010 marks the day of the Underdog in the music world.

First we have Kelly Rowland who has amazing potential and has released 2 albums that found mediocre success compared to her Group Destiny’s Child. Kelly Rowland will release her first single “Commander” produced by David Guetta, which has the Internet buzzing.

Up next is Kelis, the eclectic, former Star Trek First lady that showed much promise at the close of the 90’s with the single “Caught Out There”. Kelis 2nd album  “Wanderland” was shelved in the U.S., but her 3rd album created the monster single “Milkshake” which peaked on the billboard Hot 100. After the smash, came the decline where her fourth album “Kelis Was Here” failed to gain the same momentum as her predecessor. After the disappointment of support of her record label. It was reported that Kelis was going to give up music and become a chef. May 17th marks the worldwide release date day for her 5th album Fleshtone that includes the #1 Dance Single “Acapella”. Unfortunately, Fleshtone will not be available in the U.S till July 6th. :(

Finally, Kansas born Janelle Monáe, a new artist discovered by Outkast’s Big Boi. Janelle was signed to Big Boi’s Purple Ribbon Label and was featured on The Idlewild Soundtrack. During this era, Janelle’s material never saw the light of mainstream media. In 2007, Janelle took the leap into the underground indie circuit to produce the first EP of 4 Metropolis Suite I of IV: The Chase. It was reported that she was able to sell 10,000 copies of the EP on her own. After numerous tours, collaborations, and finding a home at Bad Boy, Janelle Monáe is set to release her first full-length LP The ArchAndroid: (Suites II and III of IV) on May 18th .

So tomorrow everybody breakout your itunes, cash, and debit cards and go support these ladies tomorrow!

Young Jezzy | “Mama Told Me feat. Ester Dean”

Here is a track from Young Jezzy’s ‘Thug Motivation 103′ album that features Ester Dean on the hook. But from what reports say, this may be a demo for Beyoncé to sing on the official version of the song. Ester Dean is currently making a big splash in the music scene as of late! With her hands in Rihanna’s “Rude Boy”, Christina Aguilera’s “Not Myself Tonight”, and now this, Dean is taking over!! Take a listen!

New Music: Carmit Bachar | “Cream”

Carmit Bachar | “Cream”

Following her split from the Pussycat Dolls, Carmit Bachar has been in the studio recording music for her solo album due out sometime this year. The first single is called “Cream”, which sounds like a Pussycat Dolls infused track mixed with some bubble gum pop old Britney Spears song. It’s not a bad track at all but is it first single material? My answer is no. It’s catchy but typical. Let’s hope she comes harder than this. Take a listen and give your thoughts!
