Just in time for the Grammys, Lady Gaga’s brand new single “Born This Way” was released this morning on Itunes as Gaga prepares to perform the much anticipated new single live this Sunday in Los Angeles at the Grammys where she is nominated for 6 awards including Album of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocalist.
To many the new track may sound like a “history repeats itself” scenario reminisce of Madonna’s “Express Yourself”. We’ll let you be the judge. Check out the track after the jump. Read the full story
Never shy of expressing herself and standing up for the LGBT community, Lady Gaga has took to the YouTube airwaves with a video message asking the U.S. Senate to repeal the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, which bans gay and lesbian Americans from serving openly in the military.
Gaga made the video for Servicemembers Legal Defense Network. Check out the video below and make sure you guys check out our featured article on DADT where we had a gay military service member write to us and give us his stance on what may happen if Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell is officially eliminated.
One great thing I love about Lady Gaga is that she’s been with and for gays long before she had the fame.
The MTV VMA Award nominations have been announced and Lady Gaga leads the pack making MTV nominee history for the most VMA nominations any artist has ever received! With a nod of 13 nominations this year it’s going to be Lady Gaga v/s Lady Gaga! Gaga’s sweat, tears, crawling, dancing, makeup, and everything else that come with her innovative videos this past year has TRULY paid off and can undeniably not be disputed! Congrats Miss Gaga!
Five nominees behind Lady Gaga is Eminem with eight nominations. Another one of our favorites, B.o.B. has been nominated for 5 VMA’s including Best Video of the Year for his Hayley Williams collaboration “Airplanes”. That’s an honor considering this is B.o.B.’s first album and to be just 3 nominations below one of the biggest artist in the world!
The MTV VMA’s will broadcast live from Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12th at 9pm ET. MTV announced some of the performers today including Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Pink (GOOO PINK!), Usher, Katy Perry, and 30 Seconds to Mars. This year, fans get the pleasure of choosing the winner! Lady Gaga gave another stellar performance as she sung “Dancing In The Dark” at the Brit Awards. She dedicated her performance to the late Alexander McQueen. It was very emotional and theatrical performance. Take a look after the jump.
Thanks to the people at Lady Gaga‘sofficial site for releasing these photos of her on the set of “Telephone” music video. There are no pics of Beyoncé just yet but don’t you kids fret she’ll be releasing some too! Take a look below.
This past Sunday (01/31/10), the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards aired on CBS and drew in approximately 26.6 million viewers, the highest number since their 2004 show.
While the show was nothing to shout about, there were 3 performers we couldn’t let go unnoticed as they showed us the true art of entertainment and music!
LADY GAGA
First up, Lady Gaga. Gaga opened the Grammy show with an explosive and eye opening introduction, with a ringmaster professing the REAL Gaga with five #1 singles, her own polo stick, and no soul! Gaga opened up with “Poker face” and then performed “Speechless” with Sir Elton John. Needless to say, the performance was SPEECHLESS!
PINK
The best performance of the night came from the awesome PINK! Pink stepped out on the stage with a white cow-neck full length dress singing “Glitter in the Air” and sounded like a million dollars. About two minutes into her performance, Pink unveiled her acrobat outfit hidden under her dress and spent the last 3 minutes singing her HEART out all while performing acrobats without missing a key. Grade: A+
MARY J BLIGE
Last but not least, our 3rd favorite Grammy performance of the night was the incomparable Mary J Blige. Mary did a special tribute to Haiti with Andrea Bocelli performing “Bridge Over Trouble Water” and once again showed the world that the definition of your background does not dictate the definition of your future. Her vocals were on point and Andrea was AMAZING!
Wow, these pics of Lady Gaga make you want to ::sings:: “Gag Gag”! Her feature spread for 944 Magazine’s “The Vanguard Issue” is showing you that Gaga is one to watch out for! Music? She’s got it on lock! Fashion? She’s got it on lock too! Don’t come for her spot ’cause she is only going to come harder! This Max Abadian photoshoot is to die for! I’m next! Check out more of the pics below!
What did I tell you?! Stunning, gag worthy, and absolutely breath taking! Your views?
