With a renewed commitment to her music career and fans, Fantasia is preparing to resume promotional activities for the August 24th release of her third album Back To Me (J Records).Fantasia will kick off her promo run with previously confirmed television performances on Good Morning America (8/24), Lopez Tonight (8/25), 106 & Park (9/8), Regis & Kelly (9/9) and Wendy Williams Show (9/10).  Additional appearances include Steve Harvey’s Ford Hoodie Awards (8/28) and Tom Joyner’s Family Reunion (9/4).

“I can’t thank my fans enough for their prayers and support during such a challenging time.  It has given me the motivation to get back to work and honor the commitments I made to promote ‘Back To Me,’” states Fantasia.   “I put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this album and I pray that everyone enjoys it as much as I do.”Early reviews indicate that the critics are indeed enjoying the former American Idol winner’s latest effort.  With a 4-star rating (out of 5), The New York Daily News states that Back to Me “far out-performs the singer’s first two works, with meatier hooks, firmer melodies and a more shrewdly focused point of view.”  Billboard cites that “…Fantasia delivers a soulful, laid-back album with tinges of gospel, her distinct voice is most enjoyable when singing heartfelt ballads.”

On the heels of Fantasia’s very drama-filled week, new music has leaked from her new album “Back to Me” which is scheduled to be in stores Tuesday, August 24th. The track is titled “The Worst is Over”  and features Cee-Lo. Ironically the lyrics, loosely mimic her current adulterated relationship with Antwaun Cook which again brings up the question on whether the whole recent series of events were all plotted from the beginning.

Yesterday, pictures were revealed of the two together with the VH1 crew recording them outside of Fantasia’s home. Take it for what it is, the song is a HIT and according to Billboard and NY Daily reviews, the album is a home run!

The Reality Show THAT IS!!! Fantasia and her boyfriend boy toy was caught back together again with a video crew just a day after Fantasia was released from the hospital from overdosing herself off of Aspirin and sleeping pills. Her manager had released a statement that Fantasia had been overwhelmed by the media coverage of her affair with married on again off again boyfriend boy toy Antwaun Cook who left his wife for Fantasia according to child custody court documents filed by Pamela S. Cook.

The most recent photos of the two together now have us all questioning the drama. Fantasia’s reality show “Fantasia For Real” is scheduled to premiere  it’s second season on VH1 on September 19th and looking at these pictures, all the drama that’s been going on is going to be on the reality show itself! SO, is Antwaun and his wife Pam getting paid for this foolery to carry on like this or is it just a part of what reality REALLY IS and Vh1 is just fortunate enough to catch Fantasia in a very vulnerable moment. Whats your thoughts on the now CLOWNERY?

As we reported late Friday night, Fantasia’s on again off again boyfriend Antuan Cook’s wife Paula Cook filed court papers claiming that Fantasia had caused their marriage break up and turmoil. Yesterday, Fantasia’s manager Brian Dickens released one of the most ***BLANKSTARE*** statemens we’ve ever seen saying:

“Fantasia will weather this storm with the dignity and grace that she has exemplified throughout a life in which she has repeatedly overcome obstacles and challenges. Fantasia’s faith in God, herself and family remain as strong as ever.”

What the statement had to do about Fantasia’s situation and the allegations, we have no idea! Fast forward, and today it was reported that Fantasia was hospitalized last night due to an overdose of Asprin and sleeping pills because of the media coverage and pending lawsuit from Paula Cook. Here’s the other ***blankstare*** statement for that:

Fantasia Barrino’s overdose last night was caused by a combination of aspirin

and a sleep aid … this according to the “American Idol” champ’s manager.

The rep just released a statement saying Fantasia ingested the medication after feeling “overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention” surrounding her relationship with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Antwaun Cook … who happens to be married.

The statement continues, “Last night, Fantasia was hospitalized. She took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid. Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time. Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon.”

The rep also explains that Fantasia “believed” Antwaun Cook when he told her “he was not happy in his marriage [to Paula Cook] and his heart was not in it.”

Here’s the statement in its entirety:

Fantasia has always been an open book. Honesty, self-respect, and personal responsibility are values she wears proudly.

Fantasia believed Mr. Cook when he told her he was not happy in his marriage and his heart was not in it. She believed him when he told her he and Mrs. Cook separated in the late summer of 2009. She believed Mr. Cook when he told her he lived elsewhere.

He even took her there. One of Mr. Cook’s most redeeming qualities was his complete devotion to his children. Fantasia fell in love with Mr. Cook and believed that he loved her.

Fantasia and Mr. Cook dated on and off for about eleven months. The pressure of the constant media attention was hard on their relationship. Fantasia gave inconsistent interviews about the status of her relationship with Mr. Cook because sometimes they were on and sometimes they were off.

When they were on, they spent most of their time together when she was not traveling with work.
Fantasia read Mrs. Cook’s Complaint against Mr. Cook for the first time yesterday. She knows some of the allegations in Mrs. Cook’s complaint are totally false. There are others she strongly doubts. There is plenty she does not know.

Fantasia is heartbroken and is sorry for any pain she may have caused.

Fantasia MUST have been in Alicia Key’s “How to Break Up A Married Couple” class this summer honey… Fresh from the County of Mecklenburg court files, Antwaun Cook’s (Fantasia’s boyfriend) wife Paula S. Cook has filed child custody, child support, postseparation support, alimony, equitable distribution, and attorney fees due to his affair with R&B singer Fantasia Barrino.

The 13 page court files go in detail on Fatasia and Antwauns affair with such claims as:

“Defendent/Husband’s illicit sexual behavior with Ms. Barrino occured prior to the date of separation, and upon information and belief, continues to  occur after the date of separation”

“Defendent/Husband’s and Ms. Barrino have at times recorded their illicit sexual activity”

“More specifically, Ms. Barrino told Plaintiff/Wife, “…he don’t want you…maybe the next time that you get a husband you’ll know how to keep him…that’s why he is here with me…”

Ms. Barrino’s name is ALL UP AND THROUGH these papers. You can read the whole filing for yourself here…

I guess Antwaun is the “Man of the House” for Ms. Barrino! Fantasia is schedule to drop her third studio LP BACK TO ME on Tuesday, August 24 and her VH1 hit reality show FANTASIA FOR REAL on September 19th returns for a second season.

Earlier this week, we told you Fantasia’s third studio album “Back to Me” is set for an August 10th release date and that her current single “Bitter Sweet” video would be out today. Well wait no further, VEVO premiered the video earlier today and Fantasia looks amazing!

Fantasia has set an August 10th release date for her third studio album, “Back to Me”. The album will have 12 tracks with productions from Rico Love, Ne-Yo, The Stereotypes, Chuck Harmony (Bittersweet), and more. “Steve Harvey suggested the album title and it describes perfectly where I am in my life right now,” states Fantasia. “I’ve willingly let the world into my life through my book, the Lifetime television movie and now the VH1 reality show. Now, it’s time to go back to how things used to be when America first laid their eyes on me on American Idol. I want to focus everyone’s attention back to me and back to music that everyone can relate to and enjoy.”

Fantasia’s single “Bittersweet” currently sits at #9 on the Urban Adult Airplay chart and the video will premiere this Friday on Vevo! It’s getting down to the wire at American Idol and honestly i bet a lot of you don’t even know the names or who’s left in the competition! Don’t feel bad!  To no surprise this season has been one of American Idol’s lowest rated seasoning. What I do know is our girl Fantasia was special guest yesterday and opened the show performing her new single “Bittersweet”.

According to our sources, Fantasia wanted to sing ‘Even Angels” but the Executive decision was made to have her sing “Bittersweet”. Either way, there was nothing “Bittersweet” about Fantasia’s performance! It was all sweet! Check out her performance below! Other guests included Bon Jovi and American Idol Chris Daughtry.

It appears that “Even Angels” was just a buzz single after all or just didn’t make the cut for a first single for Fantasia’s new album. Here is the “official” first single from Fantasia’s forthcoming yet-to-be-titled third studio album which is due in stores this Summer. The song is called “Bittersweet”. The track gives you the more urban/soul feel you’re use to hearing from Fantasia but I’m still a huge fan of “Even Angels”.

In other news, Fantasia’s Vh1 reality show “Fantasia For Real” has been renewed for another season! Congrats Tasia!

My..My…MY… The GODS over at Oprah.com has granted us an early look at Fantasia performing her new track “Even Angels” on the Oprah show.

We posted the song yesterday. Fantasia is definitely BACK!!!! As I said before, this songs shows us another side of Fantasia, a pop side. The performance was very emotional and Tasia nailed it by not over singing the track but giving us what we needed when we needed it. You will see at the end of the performance, Fantasia even shed a tear. THIS IS a #1 BILLBOARD POP & R&B SONG SONG!
