Soul R&B singer, Fantasia is going to embark on a 30 city ‘Back to Me’ tour following the success of her third album “Back to Me”. WhatsTheT.com has exclusively learned that American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino and Grammy Award winner Kelly Rowland has been confirmed to perform live Friday (09/03) of Atlanta Pride Weekend at Club ATL (Atlanta Peach Ballroom) along with So So Def recording artist Dondria.
This morning Fantasia made her first National television appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America since her suicide attempt and extramarital affair scandal with T-Mobile worker Antwaun Cook to promote her third studio album “Back to Me”.
Before performing her lead single, Fantasia sat down with Robin Roberts and talked about her struggles. During the interview Fantasia revealed that she now has a Life Coach and explained some of the process that she went through to determine if she was ready to go back to work. She also explained that while she was in the hospital for her overdose, a nurse by the name of Melanie spoke words of encouragement that helped her realize that she still had a purpose on earth. Fantasia explained, “They Didn’t treat me like Fantasia, they treated me like Tasia”, referencing the staff at the hospital where she was admitted.

While Fantasia Barrino’s first major National appearance will be this Tuesday(08/24) on Good Morning America, Fantasia did do her first club appearance last night at the Big Chill in Charlotte, NC for Charlotte Bobcat’s Forward Tyrus Turner Birthday Celebration.
While the crowd welcomed her surprise appearance, Fantasia testified, “I been in the house for a week so you know I’m bout to act ugly. When they said it was over for me, I’m here to say I’m back!”, referencing her most recent ‘suicide attempt’ a week ago due to the media coverage of her extramarital affair with T-Mobile worker Antwaun Cook.
During her performance set, Fantasia sang her current single “Bittersweet” from her forthcoming album “Back to Me” which hits stores this Tuesday, August 24th. Check out her performance below.
One of our insiders who wishes to remain anonymous has exclusively revealed to WhatsTheT that a movie is in the works for a screenplay titled “Cicely is Evil” written by Fantasia Barrino and Timothy McCallum. The process of the screenplay started earlier this year but it was finalized late June. The American Idol winner is in talks with Producers now for financial backing and its been said that one production company is moving forward with the project. The project may be mentioned in the second season of Fantasia For Real which airs September 19th on VH1.
After Fantasia’s very drama-filled week, the R&B singer is gearing up for a blitz of television show appearances including Good Morning America on ABC on August 24th which is the same day her third studio album “Back to Me” will be released. The album is available to preview on line now at Facebook and has received rave reviews from Billboard, NY Daily News, and That Grape Juice, just to name a few.
