If you’ve been keeping up with the Atlanta Hawks, then you know Joe Johnson and the gang have been on a roll since the season opener. On a winning game streak of 9-2, the Hawks have turned some heads and are now the #1 team in the Eastern Conference.
Most recently the Hawks won against #3 ranked Boston Celtics, #5 ranked Denver Nuggets (25 point home win), and #5 ranked Portland Trailblazers (both home & away).
The past few years, the Hawks have gotten little attention and suffered from not having that “Super Athlete Star/Leader”. Last year, the Hawks did show development after making it to the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals where they were swept away by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Considering the path the team is on now, this season looks even more promising so far.
We don’t write much on sports here but I definitely thought the Hawks needed their shine as I’ve attended several of the home games and enjoyed all the games. You can catch the Hawks in action this Wednesday at the Phillips Arena against Dwayne Wade and The Miami Heat at 7pm.
