Last night Kelly Price performed live at Tongue & Groove for WassupNATL’s Grown & sexy Sundays. After her first scheduled performance was canceled back in December due to weather, Kelly had promised to make it and return in January.

This past Saturday, the 9th Annual Battle of the Bands took place at the GA Dome in Atlanta, GA where 8 HBCUs (Albany State, Tennessee State, Clark Atalanta, Jackson State, Winston-Salem State, South Carolina State, and Bethune Cookman) came to entertain the sold out arena.

Each school that made it to the finale’ show were chosen as the best in the land after the Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational which was held last year and each school was gifted with a $20,000 check from Honda to use at their will for their school.

While the Battle of the Bands is not a competition and they all  did a great job, I have to say Bethune Cookman University SHOWED UP & SHOWED OUT. Watch the performance after the jump. Continue Reading

Atlanta has been unseasonably cold this winter season. Back in December, R&B singer Kelly Price was scheduled to perform at Djangos for Wassup N ATL’s Grown & Sexy Sundays, but mother nature threw a curve ball and the show had to be postponed due to Kelly’s flight being canceled. But some things happen for a reason. This weekend, for the first time since November, the weather will blossom like spring with near 60 degree temperature and all sunshine just in time for Kelly Price’s rescheduled show with Wassup N ATL at their brand new Sunday night Grown & Sexy venue, Tongue & Groove (located at Lindbergh Station).

Sizzle Miami has released new video footage on their official YouTube (Sizzle Miami TV) page from the Queens of Comedy Showcase from last year. Comedian Luenell was  special guest artist at the show and had the kids laughing from the time she stepped on to the stage until the time she left.
