With the Supreme Court this week hearing cases dealing with the legality of Prop 8 as well as the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), AyanBadejo submitted a brief along with other NFL stars, legislators, employers, and politicians to the Supreme Court opposing Prop 8.

Tech company Amazon, is stepping outside of the box in their new Amazon Kindle commercial. Well known for supporting marriage equality, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has donated $2.5 million to fight for the cause and in a new commercial promoting their Kindle Paperwhite, Amazon includes a gay married couple. Sad news out of Los Angeles today, CNN has confirmed that 47-year-old Rodney King has died. Police found King at the bottom of the pool after receiving a 911 call from his fiancee Cynthia Kelley. CPR was administered by authorities but there was no response. He was later pronounced dead at 6:11am at a local hospital.
In 1991, Los Angeles Police beat Rodney King after a high speed car chase. The beaten was caught on video tape and sparked one of the biggest riots in LA history and raised racial awareness across the country.
In just a few hours, ABC World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer will air part of an exclusive interview President Barack Obama did today for Good Morning America which will air tomorrow morning confirming that on a personal level he believes same sex marriage should be legal.
For the 8 years, President Obama has been in the oval office, Obama has dodged the gay marriage question and his stance, once agreeing that civil unions was enough to protect gay couples. But from the looks of this upcoming interview, Obama’s “evolving” opinion on the subject appears to be concrete now.
