Last week, Brandy released her hot new single “Put it Down”, produced by Chris Brown and Sean Garrett. While a few felt it was too bubblegum for Brandy, the majority believe Brandy is back in a big way!
The harmonies and vocals on the track are IMPECCABLE! Check out the track after the jump.
Brandy was in Atlanta over the weekend and did a club blitz on Friday night hosting a party at Primal Nightclub and then journeying over to the famed Friday night hot spot for the kids, Club Rain. Packed to capacity, the kids got a little overly excited making Brandy have to cut her visit short after a few knuckleheads fought.
Brandy tweeted the next day about the chaos and how overwhelmed she was of the support from everyone.
Monica and Brandy took to the Good Morning America (GMA) summer concert series stage performing the single “It All Belongs to Me” as Monica promoted her new album “New Life” which hit store shelves and iTunes today. As always, the two looked and sounded great. Continue Reading
Debuting their first collaboration in 14 years since “The Boy is Mind”, Monica and Brandy hit the Jay Leno “Tonight Show” stage to perform their new single “It All Belongs to Me”. I love them both but this song still does nothing for me but they sounded and looked great! I absolutely loved the Whitney shirt Monica rocked!
Fresh off of an amazing Grammy performance and his first Grammy win, Chris Brown is showing the world that 2012 is his!
Here is Chris’s brand new video to his already hit new single “Turn Up The Music” from his forthcoming album FORTUNE. Directed by Chris himself and Godfrey Tabrez, the scene takes Chris to a secret warehouse full of all kinds of beastly characters. I have to say this is probably one of my favorite videos in a while from CBreezy. Chris is dancing his ass off and giving us Michael Jackson tease more than ever in the scene where he dances in the rain! When I listen to this song and watch the video, it puts a stamp on the statement “Chris Brown is POP”!
Sidenote: Chris Brown looks amazing with his new weight he’s gained. Thighs, booty, and all!!!
I WOKE UP THIS MORNING AND GOT LOST IN YOUTUBE AND THE COUNTLESS VIDEO PERFORMANCES OF WHITNEY HOUSTON. BUT THERE WAS JUST ONE THAT STUCK WITH ME AND I THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE IT WITH YOU.
IT WAS THE 2002 VH1 DIVAS LAS VEGAS SHOW WHEN MARY J. BLIGE PERFORMED “RAINY DAYS” AND WHITNEY HOUSTON JOINED HER ON STAGE. WHITNEY TOOK THE SONG AND TURNED IT INTO STRAIGHT GOSPEL AND HER LAST WORDS AT THE END OF THAT PERFORMANCE WERE:
SMILE ON ME… LET IT RAIN ON ME, LET IT SMILE ON ME… EVEN ME LORD, EVEN ME LORD, EVEN ME, EVEN ME…. – Whitney
Blues/R&B legendary singer Etta James passed Friday morning fighting a battle of Leukemia in Riverside, CA.
One of the first women inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Jame’s feisty blues style captivated millions and has been acknowledged in recent years with Beyoncé’s portrayal of her in the movie “Cadillac Records” in 2008 and the use of “At Last” for Barack and Michelle Obama‘s first dance after his inauguration in 2009.
“This is a tremendous loss for the family, her friends and fans around the world,” longtime friend and manager, Lupe De Leon told CNN. “She was a true original who could sing it all — her music defied category.”
