As we mentioned earlier this month, Usher’s has a new EP, “Versus”, that hits stores and Itunes on August 24th. The first single was released a few weeks ago featuring PItbull called “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love“.

Now here’s another track from the forthcoming album featuring Jay-Z and Ester Dean called “Hot Toddy”. It was first believed that Ciara would be on this track but it looks like Cici wont get to shine on this new track. Take a listen…

The Iphone 4 launched midnight worldwide and the scene in Sydney, Australia was described as a party atmosphere by GIZMODO as many of the carriers in Australia did various promotions to appease their customers. In other Kelly Rowland news, ThatGrapeJuice reports that Kelly’s new album has been pushed back again! The release date now is November 2nd… It would be nice to see Kelly link up with Apple for the holiday on a promo tour! That would be guaranteed sales! Just a thought…

This single has been out for quite sometime. Not sure what took so long for the video to come out. And while Usher’s album is doing very well on the charts and sells, it still seems that usher is missing that sparkle he had years ago.

I am a huge Ne-Yo fan; however this single has been very unimpressive and now that Ne-Yo has added this long drawn out “acting” skit to the video for “Beautiful Monster”….BLAH! Thank God for his JUST IN CASE MONSTER FLOPS I’M COVERED single “Champagne Life” (I love this track)!

Last but never least, the once underdog of the three, Chris Brown, is getting ready to release a special video for his fans for the track “12 Strands (Matrix)” which did not make the final cut of his last album Graffitti. The preview makes me want to go somewhere and try some MATRIX type ISH!

If you can’t get enough of Usher’s new album Raymond V. Raymond which was released March 30 of this year, then boy does Usher have a special treat for you! Versus, the final chapter to Raymond V. Raymond will be released on Tuesday, August 24th. Yesterday, it was announced that Versus includes 8 brand new tracks including the lead single “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” featuring Pitbull! Also dropping on August 24th is Raymond V. Raymond (The Deluxe Edition) which will combine all 22 songs from Raymond V. Raymond and Versus.

You can’t knock the hustle, the new marketing strategy now from record labels seem to be repackaging and adding more songs for a re-release to gain more sales!

Sometimes in our community,  we have the tendency to overuse words like epic, legendary, and icon but when it comes to the King of Pop, those three words are exactly what Michael Jackson was and still is! Today marks the one year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death and while we vividly remember the news stories when we heard and read about Michael’s death, it’s still very hard to believe that he’s no longer with us. Perhaps it was Michael’s 13 number one singles, his breath-taking “Thriller” video,  monumental humanitarian efforts, or a combination of them all that has us still feeling like Michael is right here but whatever the case, Michael will never be forgotten or replaced. A true definition of a Legend.

Was the decision to have Pop-Star Christina Aguilera do a repeat performance of the National Anthem at the NBA Finals game the Los Angeles Laker’s lucky charm? I doubt it, but nevertheless she did and besides her second performance wasn’t as spectacular as her first!

Bold and Beautiful are two words you can use to describe singer Kelly Rowland’s new single cover for “Grown Woman”. Perched topless on a plush comforter, Kelly is sporting one of the boldest curly haired Diana Ross-like hairdos I’ve ever seen and looks AMAZING. They went in on the photo-shopping of her skin color though. We all know Kelly is a beautiful chocolate Barbie sister but it seems like it’s a music industry standard to paint black women lighter.

Kelly has been a busy woman the past two months covering TV shows and concerts overseas, recently performing at Los Angeles Pride here in the U.S. and hosting her Album private listening event last night in New York City. B Scott was in attendance and stated “Kelly’s album is definitely going to surprise a lot of people and I think it’s safe to say that she has successfully carved her own lane in today’s industry and I’m anticipating nothing but great things from her in the future!”

One of our good friends and twitter buddys @musicenthusiast was at the listening party and stated when asked about Beyonce beef , Kelly replied, ““Where’s Michelle in this? Don’t disrespect the fact that she made DC3 great too!”

Kelly recently sat down with Perez Hilton and talked about her album a little bit. Perez had no problem asking Kelly about Matthew Knowles decision to release a statement that there would be no Destiny’s Child reunion and Kelly responded with a “Quite Frankly” look on her face, “Well. Matthew Knowles is not a member of Destiny’s Child, with all due respect, that’s not a decision he can make. It would be amongst myself, Beyonce, and Michelle.” That was a keke. Last weekend, Los Angeles Gay Pride brought out some of the best female chicks in the music industry including the legendary female R&B group En Vogue, “Milkshake” Dance music diva Kelis, and former Destiny’s Child turned “Commander” diva Kelly Rowland.

Celebrating 40 years of Pride, pride attendees got an earful of good ass music. Here’s a few video clips from the performance last weekend.
