Today, Fox Network announced that Elle Degeneres would not be returning to next season’s American Idol. The nine year running show has faced declining  TV ratings since 2006 and hit its worst season ratings this last season being beat out by NBC’s Winter Olympics coverage several times.

Paula Abdul, one of the original judges of American Idol, left the show in ‘09 and Ellen was Paula’s replacement. Ellen just never seemed to mesh well with the judges or the show in general.

“A couple months ago, I let Fox and the `American Idol’ producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me,” Degeneres told the network she would delay any action until it had time to “figure out where they wanted to take the panel next.” The lost of Ellen, now leaves Fox with two judges that will need replacement, Simon Cowell who many consider the core of American Idol ended his contract with American Idol this past season as well.

No surprise here! The best thing I would suggest American Idol to do is to replace Ellen and/or Simon with somebody that’s very known and well opinionated, somebody like Diddy or Prince! Brandy could be nice addition as well!

Most likely inspired by Bravo’s popular “Real Housewives” show, the kids have gotten together in Hollywood and put together a pilot for a black gay reality show based out of Los Angeles called “HOLLYWOOD HOUSEBOYS”.

In the pilot there are 3 Hollywood Houseboys, Ryan Hope (an Actor/Producer), Curtis J (Semi-Model), and Domonique (Transgender) all hungry for fame, hustling for money, and hopeful to make it while they get emotional and financial support from their partners to pursue their Hollywood dreams. The storyline is a bit stretched but what reality show you know that doesn’t have an exploited plot for entertainment purposes?

Earlier tonight, NBC reported that a fan wearing a Lebron James Miami Heat jersey was escorted out of the Cleveland Indians game after being harassed by angry fans. The bigger question that’s left was he escorted out because he felt threatened or because they just didn’t like the fact that he had the jersey on… Just maybe if these Cleveland fans channeled their energy to their city officials on why they are in the predicament they are in economically they could get a lot more accomplished in Cleveland. I mean really! Get a life Cleveland!

Can you imagine the ignorance that will come when the HEAT and CAVs meet up in Cleveland?

Don’t ask me why but I have never been a Facebook head. Twitter has always been my social network of choice (well at least after MySpace died). Sometime last year though I did give in and decided to join Facebook to connect with some of my friends and associates that don’t use twitter. I’ve even tried recently to use the social site more to communicate and interact; although, it annoys the hell out of me when I get a request from my dad, a cousin, or any of my family members! Like…how did you find me! ugh!.

Despite my non appeal for Facebook, there are millions of Facebook members that love and use the site daily. Because of its popularity, it looks like Hollywood believes they can capitalize on a movie about Facebook. Lawsuits, hot college chicks, betrayal, and the movie tagline “You don’t get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies” actually may WILL make this movie a HUGE hit in the theatres come October 1st. Oh and did I mention Justin Timberlake co-stars as Sean Parker, the Napstar co-founder and Facebook founding President.

So if you live in Atlanta you probably already know that the place be to see and to be seen is Atlantic Station when it comes to going to the movies. But if you’re like me you also HATE Atlantic Station because of all the young kids that flock to the movie theatre. Not to mention, their customer service is HORRIBLE.

Well, there is an alternative, AMC Buckhead Fork & Screen. Fork & Screen is a Cinema theatre where customers can go to enjoy dinner, drinks, and more, all while watching a movie. The theatre is extra clean with table suites for guests to enjoy their coctails and a full course meal if they desire. The waitresses/waiters and the food is great and no more expensive than your typical American restaurant chain! One of the best parts about it is that guest must be 18 years or older unless accommodated by an adult! Yesterday after missing Predator at Atlantic Station Regal 24, I decided to head on over to AMC Buckhead Fork & Screen and surprisingly found out that all movies from Monday – Thursday are only $6! A deal you can’t beat!

I don’t do much free promotion on here but when I see a good deal, I definitely like leting you guys/gals know! Looks like movies on a Monday-Thursday may be the new trend! Thanks AMC Fork & Screen for the wonderful service! (Sidenote: Wait for Grown Ups to go to DVD! Predator was not playing there.)

After a very successful performance at the Essence Festival in New Orleans 4th of July Weekend, Janet continues her press run and lands on the front cover of Essence Magazine’s August issue.

Inside the magazine, Janet is featured in an eight-page photo spread with CSI: Miami actor Adam Rodriguez. She discusses her new book she’s writing, True You, giving exercise and diet tips. She also confirmed that she is indeed a “free agent” meaning she’s not dating Jermaine Dupri anymore, despite rumors that the two were rekindling. When asked about her public appearance of her out and about with millionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana whose almost 10 years younger than she is,  she expresses her thoughts and calls the media ludacris to criticize them about their age differences.

Alright Miss Janet if You’re Nasty, just take a line from Lady Gaga and let them know, “Im a Free Bitch, baby!”

Lebron James made his big announcement on ESPN last night on a 1 hour special entitled “The Decision” and as predicted he will be taking his super power basketball skills down to South Beach Miami to play with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh for the HEAT!

From the beginning of the interview process, you could look at Lebron’s facial expressions and tell Cleveland was definitely not going to be the team that would come out of his mouth when it came time to reveal where he was going. And sure enough when the big question was popped Lebron responded, “This fall, i am going to take my talents to South Beach and join the Miami Heat”. Lebron continued and explained that his decision was based on him feeling that he could when championships with the Miami Heat franchise! After the announcement it didn’t take long for Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert to release a stern ignorant statement via the Cavalier’s website about Lebron’s decision:

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his “decision” unlike anything ever “witnessed” in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

I think @MIKESPN tweet about Dan’s letter sums up this very well: “just read Gilbert’s letter again…he put a Ms Celie “til you do right be me” curse on Lebron…this has gotten even MORE comical..” And meanwhile Lebron is in MIAMI BITCH!
