After a very successful performance at the Essence Festival in New Orleans 4th of July Weekend, Janet continues her press run and lands on the front cover of Essence Magazine’s August issue.

Inside the magazine, Janet is featured in an eight-page photo spread with CSI: Miami actor Adam Rodriguez. She discusses her new book she’s writing, True You, giving exercise and diet tips. She also confirmed that she is indeed a “free agent” meaning she’s not dating Jermaine Dupri anymore, despite rumors that the two were rekindling. When asked about her public appearance of her out and about with millionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana whose almost 10 years younger than she is,  she expresses her thoughts and calls the media ludacris to criticize them about their age differences.

Alright Miss Janet if You’re Nasty, just take a line from Lady Gaga and let them know, “Im a Free Bitch, baby!”

Lebron James made his big announcement on ESPN last night on a 1 hour special entitled “The Decision” and as predicted he will be taking his super power basketball skills down to South Beach Miami to play with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh for the HEAT!

From the beginning of the interview process, you could look at Lebron’s facial expressions and tell Cleveland was definitely not going to be the team that would come out of his mouth when it came time to reveal where he was going. And sure enough when the big question was popped Lebron responded, “This fall, i am going to take my talents to South Beach and join the Miami Heat”. Lebron continued and explained that his decision was based on him feeling that he could when championships with the Miami Heat franchise! After the announcement it didn’t take long for Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert to release a stern ignorant statement via the Cavalier’s website about Lebron’s decision:

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his “decision” unlike anything ever “witnessed” in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

We are less than five hours away from the big announcement of where NBA basketball free agent superstar Lebron James will chose to go for the next 3-5 years of his career. ESPN will be broadcasting a live special with Lebron James titled “The Decision” beginning at 9pm ET and Lebron will make his announcement within the first 15 minutes of the show. Proceeds from the corporate sponsorships (University of Phoenix, Bing, Vitamin Water, etc) of  “The Decision” will be donated to Boys & Girls Club of America in support of James’ vision to construct basketball courts for youth across the country.

There are 5 teams that are considered the most likely candidates for Lebron’s destination and they include Chicago, Cleveland, New York, New Jersey, and Miami.

In the meantime, while Lebron will be making his announcement at 9pm, Lebron has hired extra security and police to protect his home in Bath Township, OH….

Today, Beverly Hills California Judge Marsha Revel sentenced Actress Lindsay Lohan to 90 days in jail for  violating her terms of probation from her 2007 drug case. As part of her probation, Lindsay was ordered to attend alcohol education classes; however, she missed seven of the classes.

As the judge read her sentencing orders, Lindsay broke down in tears. She will begin her sentence on July 20th.

The judge actually had to order that the treatment center that Lindsay Lohan was attending turn over Linday’s attendance report! Check out the video below. Someone ANYONE DEAR JESUS please save Lindsay!!!!!

Last night at the BET Awards, eclectic Janelle Monae, Esperanza Spalding, Alicia Keys, and Patti Labelle all paid tribute to Prince as he received the BET Lifetime Achievement Award and they all did a remarkable job paying tribute to the Legend!

Last night, R&B singer John Legend was honored at the BET Awards with the Humanitarian Award for his successful work with his Show Me Campaign, a non profit that has mobilized efforts in Africa and the U.S. to battle poverty through education reform.

Unfortunately, shortly after the award was presented to John, all attention went immediately from his Humanitrium efforts to “John who the hell edged your hairline?” on twitter. One tweet to another, John’s hairline became a trending topic.

Curtis James Jackson III (50 Cent) is really serious about his upcoming role in “Things Fall Apart” where he plays the role of of a football player diagnosed with cancer. The rapper turned actor lost over 50lbs going from 214lbs to 160lbs on a liquid diet and three hour a day treadmill walk for nine weeks. His waist went from a 38 to a 32!

The movie is being produced by Curtis himself and his partner Randal Emmett through their Cheetah Vision Films label. Little more information has been giving on the film but from the looks of things, we’ll be getting more info in the upcoming months.

Just from the drastic weight lost 50 Cents did for this movie, I’ll be the first one there to see this! Who knows, it may be even Oscar worthy.

Last but not least in Boymania news, the group Brutha is prepping to release their new album Vacancy later this summer. You may have remembered the boy band from their BET Reality show Brother to Brutha back in ‘08 which followed the 5 brothers on their journey from just being brothers to becoming the R&B group “Brutha”. They recently recorded a video for their single “Sex-A-Holic” in Malibu and Rap-Up got some behind the scene footage of the making of the video. The video channels a sex clinic for sex-a-holics, something Pretty Ricky & Bow-Wow may all need to try out!
