Yesterday, twitter was buzzing after legendary music mogul Clive Davis revealed in his new memoir “The Soundtrack of My Life” that he was bisexual.
Davis’s memoir, is full of inside stories of his famed music career. But what has captured the media attention is the revealing of his sexuality in a 5 page section toward the end of the book.
Married twice and divorced twice, Davis explains that he began exploring bisexuality during “the era of Studio 54″. He also revealed that he has been in a monogamous relationship with a man for the past seven years.
In an interview with Cynthia McFadden Night Line Anchor last night here’s what Davis had to say. Check out the video below.
Cynthia, “It’s been said that people are either gay, straight, or lying”
Davis, “Correct. Im not lying and it exist. For over 50 years, I never had sex with man. it wasn’t repressed. I had very good sexual relationships with women.”
Cynthia, “And had you thought about men?”
Davis, “Never. never.”
Clive, “Tell me did you feel shame when you first started having sex with men?”
Davis, “I never felt shame. No. I never felt shame. I felt puzzled. The subject of bisexuality really needs much more discussion because the answer was it’s a status that does exist”
