The Billboard numbers are out and Sade’s “Soldier of Love” sits atop selling 501,000 units her first week. This marks Sade’s second #1 debut album on the Billboard. Not only did “Soldier of Love” debut #1 in the U.S. but also in Canada, France, and Switzerland!
It looks like Sade’s heavy TV campaigning last week actually paid off ! This is a good start for the record industry. Lets hope other artist can follow in Sade’s footsteps. I predict Ludacris will probably be the next big album to breakthrough on the Billboard when his album drops March 9th!
