“Avengers Assemble!!!” That’s was the first thing i that came to my mind when I first scene the Iron Man 2 trailer. The second was that I had to see the first one. Being a comic book geek, i have high standards when it comes to movies that are based on them. Iron Man wasn’t a comic that i was highly into but I know of him from reading Avenger titles.

Now to the trailer open up showing Tony Stark, being played by Robert Downey Jr., in a meeting with the U.S. government, being asked to turn over the ‘Iron Man’ armor. His cocky portrayal of Stark is dead on with his comic book counterpart. Now all I need to see is he going to turn into a raging alcoholic like in the comic.

It continues to show him interacting playfully with Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) then flying off to some expo. The CGI looks amazing and how the camera angles are no joke but the best part of the whole trailer is the introduction of Whiplash played by Mickey Rourke. To see his slice Tony’s racing car in half was bad ass, then to see him cracking that whip with sparks flying off of them. This dude is about to be no joke. Other trailer highlight included brief flashes of Scarlett Johansson in black latex as Natasha Romanoff a.k.a. Black Widow, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer. The end of the trailer is the my favorite part. I wont ruin it for you, but two word : Don Cheadle as Lt. Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes a.k.a War Machine. That’s more then two, but it still cool.
